The core connectivity options on the Butterfly include NFC, 3G/HSDPA, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP. 4G is also supported. As for the Galaxy S3, Samsung has built it with NFC, 3G/HSDPA, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP and EDR and 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi as standard. There’s also 4G connectivity where available.

The Butterfly’s camera boasts an 8.0 Megapixel resolution. Frills include autofocus, touch focus, LED flash, face/smile detection, geo-tagging, simultaneous video/photo recording and 1080p video recording. The highest resolution it supports is 3264 x 2448 pixels. For video calls and self portraits, there’s also a front-facing camera, rated at 2.1 Megapixels.

The Galaxy S3′s 8.0 Megapixel camera (with autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, image stabilization and 1080p video recording) equals the Butterfly’s. An extra camera on the front is designed for video calling. The resolution is 1.9MP.

HTC has built its beautiful Butterfly with a 5.0-inch touch-sensitive display. The Super LCD3 screen has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. With this data, we can work out that the pixels per inch (PPI) measurement here is a superb 440.6.

Measuring 4.8 inches, the Galaxy S3′s touch-sensitive Super AMOLED screen is a shade smaller. Its 720 x 1280 pixel resolution is good, but it’s no match for the HTC display. The pixel density of 306.042 pixels per inch here is less than the stellar 440.6 rating given to the Butterfly.

As you can see, the Galaxy S3 incorporates a top-end option of 64GB versus the take-it-or-leave-it 16GB capacity of the Butterfly. The Butterfly also includes a microSD card slot to ramp up the memory to 48GB. While the inclusion of a microSD expansion slot on the Galaxy S3 bumps up the capacity to an incredible maximum of 128GB.
