You’ve seen the specs for the two phones above. But that doesn’t immediately tell you which one is technically superior. Here’s how this HTC One vs. Blackberry Z10 fight plays out…

HTC One vs. Blackberry Z10 – Connectivity

The innards of the One come packed with NFC, 3G/HSDPA, 802.11a/ac/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP. It also boasts 4G connectivity where available. Blackberry’s Z10, meanwhile, dishes up NFC, 3G/HSDPA, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP. 4G is also included.

Time for a little size vs size. The One is a bit taller than the Z10 with dimensions of 137.4mm versus 130.0mm. The One is wider, measuring 68.2mm to the Z10′s 65.6mm. Weigh the two phones and the One weighs 143g, while the Blackberry Z10 is 135g. The Z10 powers into the lead.

The One’s 4.0 MP camera features an HTC Zoe camera that’s clever enough to rival an 8.0 or 13.0MP lens, autofocus, an LED flash, simultaneous HD video/image recording, face detection, geo-tagging and 1080p video recording. There’s also a front cam rated at 2.1MP.

The 8.0 Megapixel camera on the Z10 is an improvement on the One’s lens and also includes autofocus, touch focus, LED flash, image stabilization, face detection, geo-tagging and 1080p video recording. An extra camera on the front is designed for video calling. The resolution is 2.0MP.

The One features a touch-sensitive Super LCD3 display, 4.7 inches across with a quoted resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. In terms of pixel density, the pixels per inch (PPI) measurement is an excellent 468.723.

As far as performance goes, the One’s engine is a 1.7GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chip; the Z10 relies on a dual core Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon, rated at 1.5GHz.
