In this round, we compare heftiness. The Optimus G is the wider of the two, measuring 68.9mm to the One’s 68.2mm. The One is the taller handset, measuring 137.4mm to the Optimus G’s 131.9mm. Neither phone is hefty. The HTC One weighs 143g, while the Optimus G is 145g. The Optimus G leads going into round #3.

Note the maximum resolution of 4208 x 3120pixels. Another 1.3 Megapixel camera located on the front is ideal for video calls.

The One boasts a touch-sensitive Super LCD3 display, measuring 4.7 inches and delivering a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Packing 2073600 pixels into this 4.7-inch screen results in a sky-high pixel density of 468.723 pixels per inch (PPI).

The touch-sensitive True HD-IPS LCD screen on the Optimus G has the same 4.7-inch dimensions. Its 768 x 1280 pixel resolution is no match for the HTC display, however. Do the math again and the pixels per inch (PPI) rating of this screen is much lower at 317.66.

The Next battleground is storage. HTC gives you a choice of 32 or 64GB One models. The LG Optimus G comes with a single storage option – a 32GB model. As you can see, the One provides more space out of the box with a model that boasts 64GB. This compares to the Optimus G’s 32GB. Unfortunately, the One lacks an expansion slot so 64GB is all the storage on offer. Similarly, the 32GB storage on the Optimus G can’t be extended either. Like the One, there’s no memory card slot here.
