You’ve seen the specs for the two phones above. But that doesn’t immediately tell you which one is technically superior. Here’s how this HTC One vs. Sony Xperia Z fight plays out…

HTC One vs. Sony Xperia Z – Connectivity

Let’s consider the wireless options first. The One boasts NFC, 3G/HSDPA, 802.11a/ac/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP. As for 4G, you get that too. Sony, meanwhile, has packed its phone with tech that includes NFC, 3G/HSDPA, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP. You also get 4G as standard.

HTC One vs. Sony Xperia Z – Size/Weight

What if we compare the two phones for size and weight? The Xperia Z is the thinner of the two, measuring 7.9mm to the One’s 9.3mm. If weight is an issue, then the Xperia Z is 146g, while HTC’s phone is 143g. The Xperia Z has a slight lead after this round.

As for a front camera, you’ll be glad to know that there is one. It’s rated at 2.1MP.
