HTC One X+ vs. HTC Butterfly – Connectivity

The One X+ is a 3G/HSDPA phone with added NFC, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP. 4G connectivity is also supported. The Butterfly packs NFC, 3G/HSDPA, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP and 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi. And 4G? Yes, that’s in there too.

Let’s talk about pocketability. There’s not much between the two – the One X+ is 134.4 x 69.9 x 8.9mm, the Butterfly is 143.0 x 70.5 x 9.1mm. The One X+ is the more compact handset. Tipping the scales at 140g, the Butterfly is weightier than its opponent. The One X+ weighs 135g. The Butterfly trails at this early stage.

As for photo/video prowess, the One X+’s 8.0 MP lens features autofocus, LED flash, touch focus, geo-tagging, face detection, HDR and 1080p video recording. Oh and there’s also a 1.6MP camera on the front for making video calls.

The Butterfly also sports a 8.0 Megapixel camera (with autofocus, touch focus, LED flash, face/smile detection, geo-tagging, simultaneous video/photo recording and 1080p video recording). A second 2.1MP camera on the front can be used for video calling.

The One X+ incorporates a touch-sensitive Super LCD2 display, 4.7 inches in size and with a resolution of 720 x 1280. With its 4.7-inch display and overall pixel count of 921600, the One X+ has a pixels per inch rating of 312.553.

There’s no expansion slot on the One X+, so its storage can’t be extended. Whereas the 16GB storage capacity on HTC’s phone can be expanded to 48GB via the built-in microSD slot.
