The Lumia 720 is a 3G/HSDPA phone with added NFC, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP. But no room for 4G connectivity. The Xperia L packs NFC, 3G/HSDPA, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. Like the Lumia 720, this model doesn’t support 4G either.

The Xperia L boasts good imaging technology and rivals the Lumia 720 with a 8.0 Megapixel camera with autofocus, touch focus, LED flash, geo-tagging, face/smile detection, image stabilization, HDR, panorama mode and 720p video recording. A second 0.3MP camera on the front can be used for video calling. Overall, though, the Lumia has the better camera.

While the inclusion of a microSD expansion slot on the Xperia L bumps up the capacity to 40GB.
