Stat-fight: Nokia N9 vs. HTC DROID Incredible 2
In terms of tech highlights, the N9 will turn a few heads with its touch-sensitive AMOLED display, 3.9 inches across with a quoted resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. Jamming 409920 pixels into this screen size gives the N9 a pixel density of 251.282 pixels per inch (PPI). Not too shabby.
In comparison, the DROID Incredible 2′s touch-sensitive S-LCD is 4.0 inches wide. Its 480 x 800 pixel resolution is just as good as the N9. Do the math again and the pixels per inch (PPI) rating of this screen is 233.25.
As for cameras, let’s examine the N9 first, which packs a 8.0 Megapixel camera (3264 x 2448 pixels) with extras that include: autofocus, touch focus, Carl Zeiss optics, a wide-angle lens, dual LED flash, face detection and 720p video capture. For video calls, there’s also a second, front-mounted camera.
The DROID Incredible 2′s own 8.0 Megapixel camera (with autofocus, touch focus, a dual LED flash, geo-tagging, face/smile detection, image stabilization and 720p HD video capture) equals the N9′s. Ditto the second camera on the front for video calling. Perhaps the Carl Zeiss optics have the edge. Perhaps they don’t…
