Stat-fight: Samsung DROID Charge vs. Apple iPhone 4
The Samsung DROID Charge features a 4.3-inch (480 x 800 pixel) touch-sensitive Super AMOLED Plus display. There are 384000 pixels overall onscreen, which translates to 216.977 pixels per inch.
To put that in perspective, the iPhone 4′s touch-sensitive LCD only measures 3.5 inches across. But it impresses with a higher screen resolution, namely 640 by 960 pixels. With a whopping 614400 pixels onscreen, the pixel density is a sky-high 329.714 pixels per inch.
One area where the Charge does beat the iPhone is imaging. Samsung has built the DROID Charge with a 8.0 Megapixel camera that boasts autofocus, touch focus, an LED flash, geo-tagging, face/smile detection and 720p HD video capture. For video calls, there’s also a second, front-mounted camera.
The iPhone 4′s 5.0 Megapixel camera (with an LED flash, geo-tagging and 720p HD video recording is no match for technology inside the DROID Charge. A second camera on the front of the Apple Jesus phone can also be used for video calling (FaceTime/Skype).
