As for size and weight, let’s look at the numbers. There’s not much between the two – the Galaxy S4 is 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9mm, the Optimus G is 131.9 x 68.9 x 8.5mm. The Galaxy S4 is the more compact handset. As for weightiness, the Optimus G is heavier than the Galaxy S4, tipping the scales at 145g, compared to the Galaxy S4′s 130g. The Galaxy S4′s 13.0 Megapixel camera features a full resolution of 4208 x 3120 plus autofocus, LED flash, touch focus, face/smile detection, image stabilization, HDR, Dual Shot, Panorama and Drama Shot modes, simultaneous video/image recording and 1080p video capture. Oh and there’s also a 2.0MP camera on the front for making video calls.

The Optimus G also comes equipped with a 13.0 MP camera along with autofocus, touch focus, LED flash, face detection, image stabilization, geo-tagging and 1080p video recording. A second 1.3MP camera on the front can be used for video calling.

The specs show that Samsung has built the Galaxy S4 with a 5.0-inch touch-sensitive display. The Super AMOLED panel has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Is this good? Bad? The resulting pixel density of this handset tells us exactly that. It’s a lofty 440.6 pixels per inch. That’s good. Very good. Stupendously good.

Measuring 4.7 inches in comparison, the Optimus G’s touch-sensitive True HD-IPS LCD screen is not significantly smaller. Its 768 x 1280 pixel resolution loses out to the Galaxy S4′s full HD display. Compared to its rival, the number of pixels onscreen is 983040 and so the pixels per inch (PPI) rating is 317.66.
