We see a lot of handsets here at Big Phone Fight and, as the stats get crunched, it’s interesting to see which phones are the thinnest. Here is our top 5 (in reverse order):
5. Nokia E72
It’s hardly a surprise that the E72 makes our list. It’s effectively a ‘mini’ phone compared to the others here – small screen, small processor, small ambitions and small (10mm) around the middle.
4. Dell Streak
Is it 5.0-inch tablet device? Or an oversized mobile phone? However you classify it, Dell still managed to create an incredibly thin Android-powered plaything that has a depth of only 9.98mm.
2. Samsung Galaxy S
The Samsung Galaxy S is a great all-rounder and stands tall as one of the best Android phones around. Not only is it lightweight (119g), but it’s super-thin, measuring only 9.9mm around the waist.
2. Motorola Droid X
Like the Samsung Galaxy S, Motorola’s Droid X manages to incorporate a big screen and some impressive features into a chassis that has been squeezed down to a thickness of only 9.9mm. Amazing.
1. iPhone 4
Apple’s 4th-generation smartphone has set several records – it’s got the highest resolution display, access to the widest array of downloadable applications and it’s only 9.3mm thick. Nice.
The iPhone 4 wins!
Which phones didn’t make our top 5? The following five came close, but just weren’t skinny enough…
